
Murdoch University International Study Centre Dubai will offer courses in Media, Mass Communication and Business, first semester starting at the end of August 2008 Australia based Murdoch University has signed an agreement with the Dubai International Academic City to set up a campus in Dubai. Murdoch University International Study Centre Dubai is expected to attract students from within the UAE, across the Middle East and subcontinent. The University’s Dubai setup will emphasise degrees in business, management,media and communication.
“We will be providing outstanding facilities and world class technology to give students access to the highest education standards globally” said sales and marketing Manager, Hiba Hidmi. “Our campus will feature the latest technology in the field such as state-of-the-art TV and radio studios, newsrooms, editing suites, digital postproduction facilities and much more.” Initial course offerings will include the Bachelors of Commerce, Media, Mass Communication, Marketing and the Media, as well as a highly recognised postgraduate degree of Masters in Business Administration (MBA). However, Professor Martin expects that these will expand in future to cover a wide range of disciplines at all levels, adding, 'We look forward to a positive and rewarding future in Dubai.”
